Nick Young Mad Teammates Didn’t Come To His Aid In Scuffle: ‘It Was 1-On-5′

Nick Young says he just “reacted and got caught up in the moment” after being fouled hard on the head by Suns’ Alex Len Wednesday night which led to an altercation and both players ejected. According to Young, what he’s “mad about” is the fact that none of his teammates came to his defense during the scuffle, “it was 1-on-5.”

According to TWC SportsNet LA:

“What I’m mad about is just that it was 1-on-5. If somebody would have got in the middle it wouldn’t have escalated that much.”

“…I’m very frustrated…but it’s basketball, you know?”

Following the game, Nick Young liked this picture, poking fun at the fact that Kendall Marshall among other teammates did not come to his defense, on Instagram.

Yes. It’s basketball. Not a street fight. Take the hard foul, shoot your free throws, move on. Cooler heads prevail, you did not. There wasn’t any need for that reaction in the first place, then going of and hitting Dragic? Not smart. Learn from this. That’s not what Kobe would have done.
