Report: The Heat And Nets Could Wear Nickname Jerseys This Season

It’s possible we could see “King James” and “The Truth” on the back of LeBron James’ and Paul Pierce’s jersey as the NBA is reportedly considering having the Heat and Nets wear their nicknames on the back of their uniforms when they play each other this season.

According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press:

Some members of the Miami Heat have been told the NBA is considering having them and the Brooklyn Nets wear “nickname jerseys” in at least one of their four matchups this season. The NBA has not announced the plan, but teams apparently have been aware of the likelihood of it happening for at least several weeks.
