Ty Lawson and his girlfriend, Ashley Nicole Pettiford, were arrested in Denver Monday after a domestic violence incident and both were released on a $1,000 bond. The Arapahoe County Sherriff tells the Denver Post that there was no physical altercation and that the two were “yelling at each other and broke each other’s phones” which led to authorities being called.
According to ABC 7News:
Denver Nuggets’ guard Tywon “Ty” Lawson and his girlfriend were arrested in a domestic violence incident at his home on Saturday night, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said.
Robinson said the dispute at Lawson’s home near East Iliff Avenue and South Wabash Street appears to have involved yelling and screaming and damaging of cellphones.
The conflict “was a mutual situation and as a result our deputies made the decision that there was probable cause to arrest both parties,” Robinson said.
