Report: Kings Trade Tyreke Evans To Pelicans For Greivis Vasquez In 3-Team Deal

The Kings have decided not to match New Orleans’ offer to Tyreke Evans of 4-years / $44 million and instead of losing out on the 2009-10 Rookie of the Year with nothing in return, Sacramento has sign-and-traded Evans to New Orleans for point guard Greivis Vasquez as part of a three team deal. Center Robin Lopez will go to Portland. The deal will be official on July 10.

According to David Aldridge, NBA:

The Sacramento Kings made their decision about restricted free agent guard Tyreke Evans, agreeing to let him go to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a three-team deal including the Portland Trail Blazers, according to league sources.

Evans, who agreed to a four-year, $44 million offer sheet earlier this week, will go to New Orleans in a sign-and-trade deal. The Kings will receive guard Greivis Vasquez from the Hornets, with Pelicans center Robin Lopez going from New Orleans to Portland. The Blazers will send two future second-round picks to Sacramento.
