Tyreke Evans Reportedly Wants To Sign With Pelicans

Looking for a “change of scenery,” Kings’ RFA Tyreke Evans reportedly hopes to land with the New Orleans Pelicans who have extended a four-year, $44+ million offer.  However, if he signs the offer, the Kings will still have the chance to match.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN:

Former NBA Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans is ready for a change of scenery, according to sources familiar with his thinking.

Sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Evans, frustrated by the state of negotiations with the Sacramento Kings as a restricted free agent, is determined to leave the organization and plans to sign an offer sheet with the New Orleans Pelicans on the first allowable day.

[...]One source close to the situation said Wednesday that Evans feels disrespected that new Kings owner Vivek Ranadive had yet to make any formal offer aimed at retaining him.
