According to ESPN, Tyreke Evans, who reportedly hopes to land with the Pelicans, has verbally agreed to a 4-year, $44 million offer sheet with the team. Since Evans is a restricted free agent, the Sacramento Kings will now have three days to either match or pass on the offer.
Evans took his first formal steps in that direction Wednesday night when he verbally agreed to sign a four-year, $44 million offer sheet with the Pelicans. He’ll officially ink the offer sheet July 10, when the league’s annual moratorium on signings and trades is lifted. Sacramento then would have three days either to match or pass on the offer.
