Trey Burke told reporters Thursday after being drafted No. 9 and traded to the Utah Jazz that his goal is to “start right away.” If that is the case, Mo Williams will reportedly not re-sign with the team this summer when he becomes a free agent. Williams averaged 13 points and 6 assists last season appearing in only 46 games due to a thumb injury.

The demand comes a day after the Jazz traded up in the draft to get University of Michigan star Trey Burke, who was selected ninth on Thursday night.
“He’s not going to come back as a backup,” the source said of Williams.
