Report: Brian Scalabrine In Talks To Become Warriors Assistant Coach

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, former NBA player, Brian Scalabrine, is in talks to become an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

Scalabrine was offered an assistant coaching job on Tom Thibodeau’s staff after his final NBA season with the Chicago Bulls in 2011-12 but he turned it down to pursue broadcasting for Comcast New England.

The Golden State Warriors are discussing an assistant coaching job with popular ex-player Brian Scalabrine, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Scalabrine met with Warriors coach Mark Jackson and team management last week and conversations have continued in recent days, league sources said.
