According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Dallas Mavericks have traded their No. 16 pick, which they acquired just moments before the trade, and second-year shooting guard, Jared Cunningham, to the Atlanta Hawks for the No. 18 and No. 44 pick in Thursday’s draft.
Looking to remove salary in pursuit of free agent Dwight Howard, the Mavericks shed Cunningham’s salary of $1,208,400.
The Mavericks selected Miami point guard, Shane Larkin, with the 18th pick in Thursday’s draft.
