Report: Lionel Hollins Out As Grizzlies Coach

The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly informed head coach Lionel Hollins that his contract will not be renewed for next season.  Hollins directed the Grizzlies to their most successful season in franchise history with 56 wins and their first ever appearance in the Western Conference finals.

According to The Commercial Appeal:

Lionel Hollins, who directed the Memphis Grizzlies to three of the best seasons in the franchise’s history, will not return as the team’s head coach, a source has told The Commercial Appeal.

Hollins, who led the team to its first NBA Western Conference finals appearance in 2013, was told by team management that he would not be retained, the source said.
