Following the announcement of Rasheed Wallace’s retirement, the New York Knicks announced the signing of 31-year-old, Earl Barron. The seven-footer has played in a total of 123 NBA games on seven different teams with career averages of 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. He most recently played for the Washington Wizards before being waived in December. Barron played 7 games for the Knicks in 2009-10, averaging 11.7 points and 11 rebounds in 33 minutes.
Since Barron was waived prior to March 1, he is eligible for the playoffs.
