Through his official Facebook, Danilo Gallinari confirmed the worst fears of Thursday night’s injury against the Mavericks, he has a torn ACL and he is done for the year.
Gallinari was carted off the court after driving through the lane and suffering a non-contact left knee injury with 4:28 to go in the second quarter.
The diagnostic investigations revealed the rupture of the “anterior cruciate ligament.” In the coming days, Danilo will resume work on strengthening the knee to deal with the surgical preparation.

An MRI exam today revealed that Denver Nuggets F Danilo Gallinari suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during Thursday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
The MRI showed no signs of other ligament or meniscus damage…Surgery will be scheduled at a later date, and a prognosis for a full recovery is excellent.
