A month ago, Matt Barnes was suspended for striking Greg Stiemsma of the TWolves in the neck. A few days later, Metta World Peace was suspended for striking Brandon Knight in the face. On Sunday, Serge Ibaka struck Barnes’ teammate, Blake Griffin, in the groin. Tuesday, Ibaka was handed a lesser punishment than the aforementioned and fined 25K for his actions. Matt Barnes took to Twitter to express his discontent with what he feels are double standards:
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade also had something to say about Ibaka’s punishment, or lack there of, wondering why D Wade was suspended one game without pay for hitting Ramon Sessions in the groin earlier this season.
Blake Griffin joins in on the fun:
Kid Blake: Who are you? Future Blake: you from the future… Don’t listen to anything else I’ve told you just start wearing a cup.
