Wesley Johnson Hits Game-Tying 3, Suns Upset Spurs In OT

Lost in one of the craziest NBA nights of the season, was the Suns pulling off the upset in San Antonio. The Spurs, who had just returned from their 25-day Rodeo Road Trip, hadn’t played in their home arena since February 2nd, but that doesn’t mean they can’t close out the game.

With 3.7 seconds left and the Spurs up 3, Manu Ginobili had the chance to put the game away on the second of two free throws. His shot rimmed out, and what do you know?…Jermaine O’Neal throws a perfect baseball outlet pass to Wesley Johnson who knocked in the game-tying 3 to force OT! Just that kind of night. The Phoenix Suns prevailed in overtime, 105-101, snapping the Spurs’ 18-game home winning streak.
