Syracuse Retires Carmelo Anthony’s Jersey

Syracuse retired former star, Carmelo Anthony’s, jersey Saturday when the Orange hosted Georgetown at the Carrier Dome. In his lone season in college, Anthony led the Orange to an NCAA championship (2003) while leading the team in scoring (22.2 ppg) and rebounding (10 rpg).

A replica of Anthony’s jersey was unveiled in the rafters of the Dome alongside nine other previously retired jerseys. Syracuse also presented a framed jersey to Carmelo during the halftime celebration.
