MarShon Brooks Says He’d Average 20 Points If He Got To Play

MarShon Brooks, was a role player on the Nets last year as a rookie, with what many believed to be a bright future.  He averaged 12.6 points a game in 47 starts, only Kyrie Irving and Brandon Knight averaged more among rookies. With the addition of Joe Johnson, his role and production has taken a toll (5 ppg, 11 mpg), but not his confidence.

According to the NY Daily News:

“I still believe in myself,” Brooks said. “I still believe if I got the minutes I could score 20 points per game.”

“I’m playing a totally different role than I thought I would,” he said. “When I come off the bench I just do what I do, just play confident, just do everything with confidence, be decisive. I don’t really play in large spurts so when I get in I try to make a difference.”
