Kenneth Faried says leading up to the 2011 NBA draft, the Portland Trail Blazers told him he was their pick. But when the Blazers came up at No. 21, they shocked many with their selection of Duke point guard, Nolan Smith instead. Denver then proceeded to take Faried at No. 22. So how does one of the best young power forwards in the NBA feel about the Blazers now? Well, he’s not a fan.
According to Oregon Live:
“I ain’t going to lie to you: I don’t like them,’’ Faried told The Oregonian this week in Denver. “I think it’s disrespectful what they did, got my hopes up for nothing. Every time we play them, it’s a little extra motivation for me to come out and show them what they missed.’’
